Shimano Sm-sh11 Cleats, Yellow Nub Broke Off?!?
Hey i have the yellow sh11 cleats, and one of the corner yellow pieces broke off completely after not even 5 miles. three questions: 1. if i superglue it back on will it hold?2. will this compromise my ability to clip in and out? i haven 't noticed any differences except for the clip-in being a little looser (maybe it 's just in my head), but i just want to make sure these cleats aren 't going to fail on me.3. is this problem widespread? Can I Fit A Shimano Freehub Body To My Non-brand Hub?
I snapped my shimano hg50 cassette the other day and promptly bought a sram pg850 to replace it. i have fitted it but the cassette had some play against my hub. someone on here said i needed a spacer so i took it to my local bike shop who had a thorough look at it.they concluded that the bearings in my freehub are ruined. unfortunately i have a "centerpoint " hub, a brand that have no website or stockists.to replace the freehub bearing i assume they come inside the freehub body?can i simply buy any bearings (hope ones for example) or buy a any brand freehub body to fit my centerpoint hub (found a shimano onefor £14)?if not i will have to buy a new wheel for £60! Cleaning And Oiling A Shimano Curado?
I 've owned plenty of shimano reels. i recently used one at the coast in the salt water and it has never been the same. i am very familiar with breaking any reels down. i have broken this reel down, rinsed, soaked and re oiled but it doesn 't have the same feel. these bearings are closed and still good. does anyone have any tips or suggestions to something i may be doing wrong or not doing at all? would heating up the water and degreasing the reel while its apart help? How Do I Install My Shimano 105 Front Derailleur Properly?
I recently put a 10 speed crankset on my 9 speed road bike. i repositioned the height of the shimano 105 front derailleur and now the derailleur won 't go out far enough to be over the largest chain ring. i tried different settings of the high and low limit screws. i pulled the derailleur out as far as it would go until it went over the top of the largest chain ring and then i tightened the shift cable at this setting hoping the tension would keep the front derailleur over the largest chain ring but it didn 't work. the guy at the shop said i could use a 10 speed crankset on my 9 speed bike. does anyone know how i can get the front derailleur to extend over my largest chain ring?
